Kartusch and Chuback invited to Team Canada NextGen Selection Camp

Addison Kartusch and Grady Chuback, both of St. Charles Country Club and both members of the Team Manitoba junior development program, have been chosen to attend Golf Canada’s 2022 Team Canada – NextGen Selection Camp that will be held September 8-11, 2022 at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley in Caledon, Ontario.

The objective of Team Canada – NextGen is to provide resources and support to help developing Canadian junior and young amateur golfers maximize their potential and eventually reach the LPGA or PGA TOUR.

Kartusch had a very busy and successful 2022 competitive campaign winning the 2022 Manitoba Junior Girls Championship and placing 30th in the Canadian Junior Girls Championship. Chuback finished 2nd in the Manitoba Junior Boys Championship to earn a spot to represent Manitoba at the 2022 Canadian Junior Boys Championship. Both players also represented Manitoba in the 2022 Canada Summer Games.

The Selection Camp will include a 54-hole head-to-head tournament and a small portion of objective skills testing. On the girl’s side, the 54-hole competition (September 9-11) will also serve as a final qualifier for the World Junior Girls Championship to be held from October 12-15 at Angus Glen Golf Club in Markham, ON. Following the camp, Golf Canada’s selection committee will use the results from the camp assessments along with supplementary information (including other 2022 results) to select players to for the 2022/23 Team Canada NextGen Squad.
