Golf in Schools
Whether it’s indoors or outdoors, the Golf in Schools program is bringing the game of golf to Manitoba schools!
The Golf in Schools program offers elementary age students the opportunity to develop a skill set and have experiences that will encourage and support their participation in golf. Delivered by a PGA of Canada Community Coach certified instructor, Golf in Schools lessons were designed to give students an educational and fun experience through the sport of golf, while developing movement concepts and skills.
Our Mission
- Create a safe introduction to golf for today’s students and teachers.
- Ensure that golf education meets the same national standards developed by the Physical and Health Education Canada (PHE Canada).
- Help students build character and confidence through the positive personal and social values associated with the game.
- Show students that golf can be a great part of a healthy and active lifestyle.
What’s Provided
We provide the equipment (suitable for both indoor and outdoor instruction), and a full or half-day of learning and instruction. Golf in Schools is available from September through to June (subject to availability of instructor and location of school).
Through the generous funding provided by the Alex & Peggy Colonello Foundation and Golf Canada, Golf Manitoba is pleased to offer the Golf in Schools program at no charge.
