Todd Fanning (Niakwa Country Club) has a one stroke lead on clubmate Jay Doyle entering Wednesday’s final round of the Hodson Financial Men’s Senior Championship at Breezy Bend Country Club.
Fanning fired a 4-under par 68 on Tuesday to sit at 5-under par 139 while Doyle was even par 72.
Dale Coulter (Golf Manitoba Public Players Club) and Cornell Ruddock (Southwood Golf & Country Club) are tied for third place on the leaderboard at 3-over par 147.
Dan Scanlon (Golf Manitoba Public Players Club) and Mike Walker (St. Boniface Golf Club) are tied for the lead in the Super Seniors Division at 5-over par 149, one stroke ahead of Garth Collings (Breezy Bend).
Fanning also leads the Net Stableford Division with 73 points. Doyle and Walker are next with 70.

Meanwhile, in the Women’s Senior Championship there has been no rust on Angela Martens (Elmhurst Golf & Country Club).
The 59 year old has returned to competitive golf for the first time in 16 years and has a one stroke lead on Stacey Borowski (Breezy Bend). Both players shot a 6-over par 79 during their second round – Martens is at 13-over par 159, Borowski 14-over par 160.
Angela Ause (Golf Manitoba Public Players Club) is third on the leaderboard at 15-over par 161 following an 81.
Tammy Gibson (Niakwa) has an eight stroke lead on Jennifer Finch (Breezy Bend) and Shelley Muir (Breezy Bend) in the Super Senior Division.
Angie Horrock (Elmhurst) leads the Net Stableford Division with 71 points, one up on Dawn Daley (Golf Manitoba Public Player Club).
