Golf Manitoba is pleased to announce its 2026 Championship Schedule.

The 2026 championship season begins May 23^rd at Scotswood Links with the Match Play Qualifier presented by St. Vital Dental Centre and concludes with the Taylor McCaffrey Men’s Senior Four-Ball Championship on September 2^nd at Killarney Lakeside Golf Club.

“Thanks to the generosity of the management, staff and membership, we are excited to see our competitors get a chance to play at these courses across the province” said Director of Competition and Rules Sam Beavis-Hickey. “Without the co-operation of our member facilities we would not be able to host as many great events as we do.”

Early registration will open from April 1^st to April 15^th for select players and based on their finish in 2025 Golf Manitoba Championships. These players will receive an email informing them of their status.

General registration will open on April 16^th.

2026 Golf Manitoba Championship Season Calendar at a glance:

The first competitive tee in the ground will be May 23^rd at Scotswood Links for the Match Play Championship Qualifier presented by St. Vital Dental Centre.

Whispering Winds of Warren Golf & Country Club will host the championship matches from May 28^th to 31^st.

The All Abilities Championship, Women’s City & District Championship and U15 Championship presented by the Alex & Peggy Colonello Foundation is scheduled for June 13^th and 14^th at Winkler Centennial Golf Course. Kristian Hammerback (Southwood Golf & Country Club) is the three time defending champion and only winner since the inception of the All Abilities Championship in 2022. Charmaine Hayden (Breezy Bend Country Club) looks to build on her 2024 and 2025 back to back Women’s City & District championships.

If needed, the Nott Autocorp Men’s Amateur Qualifier will be June 26^th at Steinbach Fly-In Golf Club.

The Diamond Athletic Men’s Mid-Amateur and Women’s Amateur Championships will be contested at Gilbert Plains Country Club July 1^st to 3^rd. Allan McDonald (Breezy Bend) and Addison Kartusch (St. Charles Country Club) will also look to defend their respective 2024 and 2025 back to back championships.

Pine Ridge Golf Club will host the Junior Boys & Girls Championships presented by the Alex & Peggy Colonello Foundation July 7^th to 9^th. There will be a new Junior Girls Champion in 2026 as two time defending and three time champion Addison Kartusch (St. Charles) has aged out.

The Nott Autocorp Men’s Amateur Championship will be held July 13^th to 15^th at St. Boniface Golf Club. 

Rossmere Country Club welcomes the Junior Skills Challenge on July 19^th.

The Hodson Financial Men’s & Women’s Senior Championship is slated for Breezy Bend Country Club July 27th to 29th. Rhonda Orr (Southwood) will be vying for her 11^th straight and 13^th Senior Women’s Championship.

On August 19^th, Oakwood Golf Course hosts the Taylor McCaffrey Women’s Four-Ball Championship.

The Taylor McCaffrey Men’s Four-Ball Championship is scheduled for August 27^th at Lake of the Sandhills Golf Course at Buffalo Point.

The Taylor McCaffrey Men’s Senior Four-Ball Championship at Killarney Lakeside Golf Club on September 2^nd concludes our championship season of competition.

Manitoba Amateur Championships

As the Provincial Sport Organization and governing body of golf in Manitoba and Northwest Ontario, Golf Manitoba conducts premier amateur golf championships to support the development of the province’s competitive golfers at Golf Manitoba member clubs.

Golf Manitoba annually conducts provincial golf competitions and qualifiers – which play host to more than 900 golfers who play over 1,700 rounds.

In partnership with our host clubs, volunteers, and corporate partners, Golf Manitoba is dedicated to supporting player development through first-class competition.

44 competitors competed through a weekend of wind and rain at Carman Golf & Curling Club.

Ty Montour (Team Manitoba / Scotswood Links), Hunter Oakden (Team Manitoba / Wheat City Golf Course) and Angelina Sitarz (Team Manitoba / Elmhurst Golf & Country Club) were the respective division gold medal winners in the U15 Championship presented by the Alex & Peggy Colonello Foundation.

Montour won the 12 & Under Junior Boys Championship finishing 36 holes of play at 162, 11 strokes ahead of Tiago Miranda (Team Manitoba / St. Charles Country Club).

Oakden needed one hole playoff to claim the overall Junior Boys championship over Owen Conrad (Team Manitoba / St. Charles). Both players ended regulation play at 2-over par 144. Oakden made a birdie on the playoff to best Conrad’s par.

Sitarz takes home the overall Junior Girls championship by 10 strokes over Mackenzie Bartlett (Team Manitoba / Carman).

For the fifth time in her career, Charmaine Hayden (Breezy Bend Country Club) is the Women’s City & District Champion edging out Marissa Naylor (Niakwa Country Club) by one stroke.

The 2025 All Abilities Gross Division and Net Stableford Division titles belong to Kristian Hammerback (Southwood Golf & Country Club). He picked up a six stroke victory over Golf Alberta Public Players Club member Kyle Miller.

2025 Golf Manitoba Championship Season Calendar at a glance:

For the sixth time is course history, Elmhurst Golf & Country Club will host the championship matches from May 29^th to June 1^st. The last time it was played at Elmhurst was 2016 when Tom Humniski of the host club won his second consecutive Men’s Senior Championship.

Carman Golf & Curling Club will host the All Abilities Championship, Women’s City & District Championship and U15 Championship presented by the Alex & Peggy Colonello Foundation June 7^th and 8^th.

The Diamond Athletic Men’s Mid-Amateur and Women’s Amateur Qualifier will be contested at Transcona Golf Club June 20th. The 54 hole Championship will be played at St. Charles Country Club July 2^nd to 4^th where Addison Kartusch looks to defend her 2024 Women’s Amateur Championship at her home course.

The Junior Boys & Girls Championship presented by the Alex & Peggy Colonello Foundation will be played July 7^th to 9^th at Quarry Oaks Golf Course.

Minnewasta Golf & Country Club will host the Nott Autocorp Men’s Amateur Championship July 15^th to 17^th. Braxton Kuntz of Breezy Bend Country Club would be looking to become the first player in Manitoba history to win five consecutive Men’s Amateur championships.

The month of August opens on August 5^th at River Oaks Golf Course with the Women’s Four-Ball Championship.

The Hodson Financial Men’s & Women’s Senior Championship will be at Glendale Golf & Country Club August 11th to 13th. Rhonda Orr of Southwood Golf & Country Club is vying for her 10th straight and 12^th Senior Women’s Championship.

The Men’s Four-Ball Championship is scheduled for August 28th at Wheat City Golf Course in Brandon.

The Men’s Senior Four-Ball Championship on September 4th at Pinawa Golf & Country Club concludes our championship summer of competition.

Kristian Hammerback (Southwood Golf & Country Club) shot a final round 9-over par 79 at John Blumberg Golf Course to edge Calgary’s Kyle Miller claiming the All Abilities Championship Saturday night. Hammerback’s one stroke lead following Friday’s opening round was the difference as he and Miller had the identical scores in round two.

Hammerback also finished first in the Net Stableford Division with 67 points, three better than Shane Dyck (Pine Ridge Golf Club).

Ryder St. Laurent (Team Manitoba / Niakwa Country Club) with a two day total of 12 over par 156 (73-83) earned a five stroke victory over Owen Conrad (Team Manitoba / St. Charles Country Club) to win the Junior Boys U15 Championship presented by the Alex & Peggy Colonello Foundation.

Jewel Lafleche (Niakwa Country Club) won the Junior Girls U15 crown with a 166 total (79-87), 12 strokes better than Maisy Shewchuk (Team Manitoba / Golf Manitoba Public Players Club).

For the fourth time in her career, Charmaine Hayden (Breezy Bend Country Club) is the Women’s City & District Champion. Hayden birdied the 2nd and 10th holes during her final round to secure a one stroke victory over Hannah Diamond (St. Charles Country Club).

Ryder Stlaurent (Team Manitoba / Niakwa Country Club) has a four stroke lead entering the final round of the Junior Boys U15 Championship presented by the Alex & Peggy Colonello Foundation Saturday afternoon at John Blumberg Golf Course. Stlaurent’s 1-over par 73 featured two birdies, 13 pars and three bogeys. Hunter Oakden (Team Manitoba / Glendale Golf Club) and Owen Conrad (Team Manitoba / St. Charles Country Club) are tied for second place at 5-over par 77.

Jewel Lafleche (Niakwa Country Club) is up by 11 strokes in the Junior Girls Championship following a 6-over par 79 on Maisy Shewchuk (Team Manitoba / Golf Manitoba Public Players Club).

Grant Secord (St. Charles Country Club) has a six stroke lead on Ty Montour (Scotswood Links) in the 12 & Under Junior Boys Division.

Hannah Diamond (St. Charles Country Club) has a one stroke lead on three time champion Charmaine Hayden (Breezy Bend Country Club) for the Women’s City & District Championship. Diamond is at 6-over par 78, while Hayden opened with a 79.

Kristian Hammerback (Southwood Golf & Country Club) and Kyle Miller of Calgary are separated by a single stroke in the Gross Division of the All Abilities Championship. Hammerback made back to back birdies on the eighth and ninth holes carding a 7-over par 77 while Miller shot a 78.

In the Net Stableford Division, Shane Dyck (Pine Ridge Golf Club) is in first place with 37 points, two up on Hammerback.

“With the calendar only a couple weeks away from January, we are excited to officially announce our 2024 Championship Schedule” said Director of Competition and Rules David Borowski. “2023 showed record numbers of people enjoying our sport and we are looking forward to growing those numbers even more in 2024. I would like to express our gratitude to the member clubs who have opened their doors allowing us to play at their course this year.”

In addition to Golf Manitoba’s annual events, we are pleased to celebrate our athletes August 11^th to 14^th who will take part in the Manitoba Summer Games in Dauphin.

2024 Golf Manitoba Championship Season Calendar at a glance:

The first competitive tee in the ground will be May 25 at the Winkler Centennial Golf Course for the Manitoba Match Play Championship Qualifier presented by St. Vital Dental Centre.

Breezy Bend Country Club will then host the championship matches from May 27 to June 2. It will be the fifth time in course history they host the event. Looking back in the record books, Breezy Bend members Jesse Skelton (2011), Garth Collings (1996) and Bill Parker (1981) previously won the Men’s Championship on their home course.

The John Blumberg Golf Course will host the All Abilities Championship, Women’s City & District Championship and U15 Championship presented by the Alex & Peggy Colonello Foundation June 14^th and 15th.

For the first time in course history the Diamond Athletic Men’s Mid-Amateur and Women’s Amateur Championship will be played at the Neepawa Golf & Country Club July 4^th to 6^th. Jeri Lafleche of Clear Lake Golf Course will be vying for her third consecutive Women’s Amateur championship.

The Junior Boys & Girls Championship presented by the Alex & Peggy Colonello Foundation will be played July 10^th to 12^th at Niakwa Country Club. The last time this event was held at Niakwa, Stony Mountain’s Aaron Cockerill won the Junior Boys Championship in 2010.

Rossmere Country Club will host the Nott Autocorp Men’s Amateur Championship July 22^nd to 24^th. Breezy Bend’s Braxton Kuntz will be looking to become the first player in Manitoba history to win four consecutive Men’s Amateur championships.

The busy month of July comes to an end at Selkirk Golf & Country Club from the 29^th to 31^st as they host the Hodson Financial Men’s & Women’s Senior Championship. Rhonda Orr of Southwood Golf & Country Club is vying for her ninth straight and 11^th Senior Women’s Championship.

The popular two person four-ball championships close our summer of competition with the Women playing August 8^th at Portage Golf Club, the Men’s Senior event at Shilo Country Club September 5^th followed by the Men’s championship two weeks later at Grand Pines Golf Club on September 19^th.

Addison Kartusch (Team Manitoba / St. Charles Country Club) shot a final round of 3-over par 75 to earn a two stroke victory over India Young (Team Manitoba / Carman Golf & Curling Club) claiming her first Women’s City & District Championship. Young had an impressive finish to the two day event carding a 1-over par 73 Tuesday at the Selkirk Golf & Country Club.

Gavin Carver (Glendale Golf & Country Club) won the Overall Junior Men’s division of the U15 Championship presented by the Alex & Peggy Colonello Foundation. Carver (76-79-155) earned a four stroke decision over Ty Brewster (Golf Manitoba Public Players Club Member) (77-82-159).

Maisy Shewchuk (Team Manitoba / Golf Manitoba) claimed the Overall Junior Women’s division and the 12 & Under Junior Women division with a 36 hole total of 179 (85-94).

Ryder St. Laurent (Golf Manitoba) won the 12 & Under Junior Men’s division playing from the forward tees shooting a two day total 151 (73-78).
