It was an impressive 54 holes of golf by Selkirk’s Travis Fredborg this past week in Northern Saskatchewan at the Elkridge Open on the MacKenzie Tour PGA Tour Canada.

Fredborg (68-71-67=206) finished third on the leaderboard, just five stroke back of winner Raoul Menard.

Statement from the Manitoba Open Host Committee:

This August, we had hoped to bring top international Mackenzie Tour – PGA TOUR Canada players to Southwood Golf and Country Club, for four days of exciting golf at the Manitoba Open, in support of the True North Youth Foundation. 

Unfortunately, we are sad that with so much uncertainty this spring and summer around the COVID pandemic, we are unable to move forward with our tournament this year.

The tournament volunteers, Southwood members and staff, and our friends at True North Youth Foundation look forward to seeing you all at our championship layout on the banks of the La Salle River in St. Norbert next August.
