Charmaine Hayden (Breezy Bend Country Club) shot an opening round of 6-over par 79 to sit T12 on the leaderboard in the opening round of the Canadian Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship, presented by BDO, at Lachute (Club de golf) in Lachute, Quebec.
Veronica van der Meer (Breezy Bend) is T20 following an 81 while Rachel Harms (Elmhurst Golf & Country Club) carded a 98.
Hayden also sits T7 on the leaderboard in the Mid-Masters Division.
Team Manitoba (Hayden & van der Meer) currently sit in fourth place in the Inter-Provincial Team Championship at 14-over par.
