Evan Nachtigall (Elmhurst Golf & Country Club) shot a final round of even par 72 to finish one stroke shy of the Canadian Men’s Mid-Amateur Championship in Brantford, Ontario.
Ontario’s Garrett Rank won his fourth national crown carding a 3-under par 69 Friday to end play at 18-under 270.
Nachtigall’s 17-under par 271 (64-67-68-72) total is the highest finish for a Manitoban since Todd Fanning (Niakwa Country Club) in 2017.
