Rory Neill (Glendale Golf & Country Club) and Jordan Walford (Whitewater Golf Club) share the lead at 3-under par following the opening round of the Nott Autocorp Men’s Amateur Championship at St. Boniface Golf Club.
Neill’s round featured six birdies while Walford had five enroute to the 69, good for a one stroke advantage on Jay Doyle (Niakwa Country Club).
Doyle is no stranger to St. Boniface having previously won the 2023 Hodson Financial Men’s Senior and 2015 Diamond Athletic Men’s Mid-Amateur Championships at this course.
Kaleb Lambert (Elmhurst Golf & Country Club) and Tyler Polanski (Elmhurst) are the only other players to break par with a 1-under 71.
