Three kids who started golfing together in 1981 at Southwood Golf & Country Club are National Champions.
David White (St. Charles Country Club), Todd Fanning (Niakwa Country Club) and Jay Doyle (Niakwa) combined for Manitoba’s first ever Inter-Provincial Team Championship in the Canadian Men’s Senior Championship at Niakwa Country Club.
Their 4-over par 292 total secured a five stroke victory over Team Ontario.
Individually, White shot a 2-over par 74 Wednesday and is currently tied for lead with Todd Wiseman of British Columbia and Arizona’s Bryan Hoops at 1-under par 143. Wiseman and Hoops each carded a 3-under par 69 during their second round.
