Manitoba Match Play Champions crowned at Grand Pines Golf Course

The future of provincial ladies golf took centre stage Thursday at Grand Pines Golf Course as Addison Kartusch and Cala Korman, two members of the Golf Manitoba Junior Girls Development Program, played for the Manitoba Match Play Women’s Championship.

Kartusch, a member at St. Charles Country Club, beat Korman 3&1.

The other two final matches each required an extra hole.

The Senior Men’s Final featured Niakwa Country Club members Lorne Duncan and Ken Warwick. Duncan prevailed on the 19th hole.

Lyle Mackenzie, also of Niakwa, edged Brent Ingram of Elmhurst Golf & Country Club on the first playoff hole as well.
