Day 1 at the Nott Autocorp Men’s Amateur Championship

It was an impressive start at the Neepawa Golf and Country Club for Drew Jones making eight birdies in the opening round of the Nott Autocorp Men’s Amateur Championship.

After carding a four under par 32 on the front nine, the Shilo Country Club member continued his hot hand making consecutive birdies on the 10th, 11th and 12th holes to finish the day at seven under par 65.

Jacob Armstrong of the St. Boniface Golf Club is two strokes back of Jones with a 65.  He had a nice finish with birdies on the 14th, 16th and 18th holes.
