Longtime golf executive Scott Pritchard will join One Eleven Management Group as a vice-president and partner beginning Jan. 1, 2026.

The move follows Pritchard’s departure from the PGA TOUR, where he spent more than a decade in leadership roles with its Canadian and international development tours.

Pritchard is concluding his tenure as vice-president of PGA TOUR Americas, a position that included oversight of tournament operations and the continued development of the PGA TOUR pathways system across North and South America. This included the Players Cup / Manitoba Open.

Pritchard began his career with the PGA of Canada in 2003 before joining the Canadian Tour in 2011. After the PGA TOUR acquired the Canadian Tour, he was appointed director of tournament business affairs in 2013 and promoted to vice-president in 2017.

His work with the development tours included building partnerships and improving visibility for emerging professional players.

“We worked together early in our careers, so it will be interesting to see that come full circle,” said Jeff Dykeman, founder and CEO of One Eleven Management Group, who confirmed Pritchard’s appointment.

In a statement, Pritchard said the new role will allow him to continue working closely with athletes and properties across the industry.

One Eleven Management Group represents and manages athletes, media personalities and golf-related properties in Canada.

PHOTO GALLERY | St. Charles Country Club restoration nearing completion

Members at St. Charles Country Club are eagerly awaiting the summer of 2026.

For the past four years, St. Charles began a historic restoration project of the MacKenzie and Ross Nines led by architect Jim Urbina.

Every blade of grass, bunker and tree was examined on these 18 holes in an effort to rekindle the magic of one of Winnipeg’s elite golf facilities.

It was on July 1, 2023 when members teed off for the first time on the new look MacKenzie Nine. With multiple tee boxes to choose from, this nine is available to play from a range of 2,373 to 3,305 yards.

14 months later, the Ross Nine was unveiled on September 2, 2024. These nine holes are designed to be played from 2,527 to 3,444 yards.

While members enjoy time “at the Club” both on and off the golf course, St. Charles took it to a whole new level this past summer.

A 35,000-square foot putting course called The Sitwell Short Game Area was unveiled on Canada Day. Created by Riley Johns, it features three practice greens for putting and chipping along with a scenic view of the Assiniboine River.

The final phase of the St. Charles Country Club restoration project is the Woods Nine. Under the guidance of Johns and fellow course architect Keith Rhebb, construction continues with expectations for it to be open for play in late July to mid August 2026.

Just Swing

From tee time to screen time: Discover the benefits of every kind of golf!

Golf doesn’t always have to mean 18 holes, a four-hour round, and perfect weather. Across Canada, golfers are discovering new ways to play — from simulators and driving ranges to mini-golf and virtual reality. Off-course golf is making the game more accessible, social, and fun for everyone, year-round. Here’s why it’s catching on faster than a long putt dropping for birdie.

1. It’s accessible to everyone

Not everyone has easy access to a golf course, but off-course options make the game possible almost anywhere. Whether you’re in a downtown condo, a northern town, or somewhere between, there’s likely a simulator, driving range, or mini-golf course within reach. These spaces open the door for new players, families, and seasoned golfers who just want to swing without needing a tee time.

2. Less time, same thrill

Can’t carve out half a day for a round? Off-course golf suits busy schedules. A session on a simulator or a quick stop at the driving range allows you to play, practice, or compete in as little as 30 minutes. You get the same satisfaction — minus the lost afternoon.

3. Lower costs, higher value

Golf can be expensive, but off-course options help stretch your budget. Many facilities charge hourly or per-bucket rates, making it easier to play more often without the hefty course fees. It’s golf without the green-fee guilt.

4. Perfect for game improvement

Off-course golf is a secret weapon for skill development. Many simulators track data such as swing speed, launch angle, and ball spin, allowing you to fine-tune your game with instant feedback. Even mini-golf helps sharpen putting accuracy and focus — skills that pay off when you’re back on the course.

5. Convenience is key

Weather, daylight, and distance don’t always cooperate in Canada. Off-course golf cuts through all that. Play indoors during winter, after dark, or even on your lunch break. It’s the game on your schedule — not the other way around.

6. A social hole-in-one

Golf has always been about connection, and off-course formats make it even more so. Simulators and entertainment venues blend sport with food, music, and friendly competition. Whether it’s a night out with friends or a team-building event, it’s an easy way to combine golf with good company.

7. Good for you

Golf — in any form — gets you moving, thinking, and socializing. Off-course play keeps both body and mind active, offering light exercise, mental focus, and stress relief. It’s wellness disguised as fun, and it’s accessible 12 months a year!

NEWS | Extend your season! Golf Canada launches off-course strategy

There is no such thing as an off-season in golf. Discover golf: anytime, anywhere.

OAKVILLE, Ont. – As temperatures drop and the outdoor golf season in most parts of the country draws to a close, Golf Canada is proud to announce the launch of a new comprehensive off-course golf strategy supported by the Just Swing campaign, which highlights the benefits and different forms of off-course golf.

Golf Canada endorses and supports all forms of golf and is encouraging Canadians to experience the game year-round through off-course golf experiences.

These experiences include golf simulators, driving ranges, short game areas, mini golf, virtual reality golf and golf-themed video games that all provide opportunities to engage with the sport year-round. Complementing traditional green grass golf, off-course golf provides a continuity of golf experiences that can welcome new individuals into the sport in ways that best fit their lifestyle.

For Golf Canada’s Chief Marketing Officer Tim McLaughlin, the campaign is about having a presence wherever and however golf is being enjoyed.

“There has been an explosion in off-course golf options in our country, most notably golf simulators, and Golf Canada is excited to officially launch our off-course strategy. This initiative is reflective of the reality that an increasing number of Canadians are now participating in golf activity year-round in non-traditional venues like simulator facilities. Off-course golf has the potential to be transformational for our sport, combining fun and realistic golf experiences with affordable options that are accessible 12 months a year,” said McLaughlin. “This strategy acknowledges the way that Canadians are engaging with the game is evolving, and our intention is to create a greater connection between these new off-course formats and the broader golf landscape.”

As part of this strategy, Golf Canada, in partnership with the Provincial Golf Associations, is proud to launch a new facility membership offering, specifically designed for off-course operators. Through this program off-course facilities will now be able to become official members of Golf Canada and have the ability to promote their operations to Canada’s largest and most engaged golf audience.

It will also be easier for Canadians to find places to play off course. A comprehensive digital program promoting off-course golf will connect Canadians to Official Member Facilities of Golf Canada. Golfers will soon be able to log and track their off-course activity at simulators in the Golf Canada app beginning in early December. For more information or to download Canada’s number one golf app, click here

“It’s not just having a presence where golf is being played in the winter, it’s about building meaningful relationships with the off-course facilities and owners who are invested in this growth sector of the sport. These facilities are providing a fun and social environment for golf enthusiasts and newcomers looking to experience golf, and we feel we can deliver year-round value and benefit to their operations.”

Interest in off-course golf has grown substantially in Canada over the past four years. In 2021, 19 per cent of Canadians were using golf simulators; that number rose to 43 per cent in 2024, an increase of 24 per cent over four years. In addition to the countless green grass facilities that transform their operations to accommodate indoor golf each winter.

The Just Swing campaign will support Golf Canada’s complete off-course strategy to have a presence wherever golf is being played. The campaign encourages Canadians to discover golf, anywhere, anytime and Just Swing, highlighting the many benefits the game can provide. This campaign is designed to re-frame perceptions of the sport by driving understanding that whether you pick up a club on a golf course or a simulator its all golf. The hope is to position the sport in a new way, particularly for new audiences who aren’t currently active golfers.
