Conditions could not have been better to open the month of September as Killarney Lakeside Golf Club played host to the Taylor McCaffrey Men’s Senior Four-Ball Championship.
On a 27 degree day with winds less than two kilometers an hour, Dale Coulter (Wheat City Golf Course) and Jason Thorpe (Golf Manitoba Public Players Club) combined for a bogey free round with an eagle and eight birdies to win the Gross Championship at 10-under par 61.
David Powell and Carl Lechman of Elmhurst Golf & Country Club finished in second place at 8-under par 63.
Scott Salmon and Tyler Zinnick of Selkirk Golf & Country Club won the Net-Stableford Championship with 42 points.
Based on a countback at 40 points, Brad Beghetto and Alec Goold of Transcona Golf Club earned second place honours.
