Braxton Kuntz (Breezy Bend Country Club) shot a 2-over par 72 Friday at Elmhurst Golf & Country Club, but it was good enough to make the cut at the Manitoba Open.
Following an opening round 5-under par 65, Kuntz made three birdies, 11 pars, three bogeys and a double bogey to sit at 3-under par 137 through 36 holes.
Ryan McMillan (Elmhurst) and Nott Autocorp Men’s Amateur Champion Rory Neill (Glendale Golf & Country Club) missed the cut.
McMillan shot a 4-over par 74 to finish at 9-over par 149 while Neill had a 78 to finish at 11-over par 151.
