The 115th playing of the Nott Autocorp Men’s Amateur Championship tees off at 7:30 Monday morning at St. Boniface Golf Club.
The three day, 54 hole event will feature 102 competitors including defending champion Evan Nachtigall (Elmhurst Golf & Country Club), 2026 Elmhurst Invitational Champion Tyson Ehnes (Lorette Golf Course), 2026 Elmhurst Invitational Junior Boys Champion Adam Blair (Elmhurst) and 2026 Men’s Match Play Champion David Spurr (Elmhurst). The field will be cut to the low 50% and ties, plus anyone within 10 strokes of first place for Wednesday’s final round.
St. Boniface Golf Club, a par 72, will play 6,348 yards for the championship.
“We are excited to be hosting the Nott Autocorp Men’s Amateur Championship” said Director of Golf Steve Wood. “We feel our course is in fantastic condition and will be a great test of golf for our region’s best amateur players. I feel many players may underestimate the golf course because it is a shorter course by today’s standards, but don’t take the lack of length for granted thinking it will be easy. Players will have to have their wedge and putting games on this week.”
The top three finishers on the leaderboard will earn a spot on Team Manitoba to represent our province at the Canadian Men’s Amateur Championship. The Champion receives an exemption to compete at the PGA TOUR Americas Manitoba Open at Elmhurst Golf & Country Club this August.
