Brady Comaskey (Team Manitoba / Pine Ridge Golf Club) grabbed everyone’s attention Friday to open the NextGen Prairie Championship at Neepawa Golf & Country Club.
Comaskey birdied five of his first 10 holes enroute to a 3-under par 69 to share top spot on the Junior Boys leaderboard with Noah Reddicopp of Abbotsford, British Columbia and Saskatoon’s Ryan Mosher.
Adam Blair (Team Manitoba / Elmhurst Golf & Country Club) also had a nice start at 1-under par 71, which has him T6 on the leaderboard.
Saskatoon’s Grace Odnokon has a four stroke lead in the Junior Girls Championship at 2-under par 70,
Payton Chapman (Team Manitoba / Glendale Golf & Country Club) is only five strokes off the lead following a 3-over par 75.
Jewel Lafleche (Niakwa Country Club) rounds out the top five at 4-over par 76.
