36 two man teams tee off Thursday morning at Pinawa Golf & Country Club in the Taylor McCaffrey Men’s Senior Four-Ball Championship.
Back to defend their title is the 2024 championship team of Al Briscoe and Mike Walker of St. Boniface Golf Club.
New for this year’s event is a both a Net & Gross Division where teams chose which division they would like to compete in at registration.
Net Division:
- The form of play where sides of two partners compete, with each player playing his ball.
- A side’s score for the hole is based on the Stableford Scoring System.
- A player’s or side’s score for a hole is based on points awarded by comparing the player’s or side’s number of strokes (including strokes made and penalty strokes) on the hole to a fixed target score for the hole.
- Each team is responsible for recording their gross score on a hole on a single scorecard. The system will calculate the net scores at the scoring table.
- Maximum handicap per player is 20.0 at time of draw
- We will also take 85% of the handicaps as recommended by Golf Canada as an allowance in a Four-Ball Stableford Competition.
Gross Division
- The form of play where sides of two partners compete, with each player playing his ball.
- A side’s score for a hole is the lower gross score of the two partners on that hole.
- Maximum handicap index per player is 9.9 at time of draw
