12 Manitobans will be in the field teeing off this morning at the Seymour Golf & Country Club in Vancouver for the opening round of the Canadian Men’s Mid-Amateur Championship.
First contested in 1987, the Canadian Mid-Amateur Championship is for elite amateurs aged 25 and over and includes both Mid-Amateur (25+) and Mid-Master (40+) divisions.
Representing our province are Marshall Cox (Southwood Golf & Country Club), Taylor Fletcher (Golf Manitoba Public Players Club), Tyler Hall (Pine Ridge Golf Club), Drew Jones (Shilo Country Club), Jordy Lutz (Elmhurst Golf & Country Club), Curtis Markusson (St. Charles Country Club), Allan McDonald (Breezy Bend Country Club), Patrick Perrin (Elmhurst), Joey Ringaert (St. Charles), Zachary Sackett (Elmhurst), David Spurr (Elmhurst) and David White (St. Charles).
Markusson, McDonald and Perrin will also represent Manitoba in the 36 hole Inter-Provincial Team Championship.
