Team Manitoba’s Charmaine Hayden (Breezy Bend Country Club), Veronica van der Meer (Breezy Bend) and Rachel Harms (Elmhurst Golf & Country Club) earned a T3 finish Thursday in the Inter-Provincial Team Championship of the Canadian Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship, presented by BDO, at Lachute (Club de golf) in Lachute, Quebec.
Hayden shot a 2-over par 73 during her second round while van deer Meer had a 76 and Harms a 94.
Hayden and van deer Meer’s scores contributed to a 36 hole 19-over par finish, tied with Quebec. British Columbia won the Team Championship at 5-over par.
Hayden and van der Meer are both in the top 20 on the Mid-Amateur leaderboard entering Friday’s final round at T8 and T16 respectively.
Hayden is in fifth place on the Mid-Masters leaderboard, eight strokes off the lead.
